TMI has developed an MSP430 target board for low power data acquisition. Its design is not complete yet, but it is (SOON) available under an open source license. The design was created using Eagle. It provides a breakout of all uC pins, incorporates a Lithium Ion/Poly charger, and a USB interface for communications and programming.

The actual design files are for the tmirws board, which is a superset of the tmicore design. One can trivially derive the tmicore design by simply cutting the board layout at the inner rectangle. The tmirws design is the heart of an off-grid solar powered remote weather station that reports its observations to an internet server via the cellular network.

TMI enhanced TinyOS contains platform support for both the tmicore and tmirws variants of this design.
